Soon there will be many place to borrow against your bitcoin (no taxes due this way)...or there will be places that pay interest on my bitcoin.

This is how the wealthy stay wealthy...they never sell their assets so they never pay capital gains.

If you must sell...you should hold your bitcoin for at least a year...that way Federal taxes will be for LONG term capital gains...much less than short term capital gain taxes.
