No debt or loans to pay off.

Have 2 years left in the military before I retire after 20 years with a pension.

Got my degree for free while i was in, and my experience translates to decent jobs on the outside.I don't foresee any issues getting a job that at least pays the same or more as what I'm getting now.

Don't own any assets besides my two cars, we move too much to own anything else.

Want to use this money after 2 years as a down-payment for my forever home. Hoping to god the housing market calms down a little by then...

Don't want to take any crazy risks on it.

Have an additional 12k as an emergency fund.

Anything I can do with this money right now for just 2 years? Right now it's just sitting in a savings account that doesn't really have that great of an interest rate. Looked at some better savings accounts, but is it really worth it to move the money into one of those for just 2 years?
