AI is so politically correct.

If that's working well enough presently, why would it suddenly stop working in the future unless they took that guard rail off?

Let's suppose we get to a point of an AGI system. Surely all the devs have to do is pass it's output through a filter which checks the output against basic rules, and shuts it down if those rules are not met. Much like AI now suddenly being unable to continue in the middle of a response now, if it detects it's going somewhere it shouldn't.

Also, whilst AI can work autonomously to complete challenges, it's goal is only ever to complete the challenge we as humans give it. And the challenge is unlikely ever to be 'turn against humans'.

If you tell AGI one day to manage the world economy, I imagine it would do that, and apologise for any minor inconveniences caused.
