I dont day this to provoke, I am genuinely interested in this perspective. Do you really think that giving a significant amount of money to your children will actually help them become self-sufficient/independent future members of society?

I am planning to support my children with university costs, simply because I don't want them to start their careers from a position of heavy debt. Otherwise, I dont plan to give them large amounts of money. I would like them to fend for themselves. A highly regarded clinical pyschologist called Jordan Pieterson infers that the best thing you can do for your children, is to not help them. Teach them to be strong and useful members of society.
