Taiwan produces the majority of the highest end chips, the top-of-the-top in terms of performance and efficiency, but the majority of chips in every day appliances is made elsewhere. Taiwan makes \~22% of all chips, it would be bad, but not everything with a chip in it 10x more expensive bad.

It would however set back high end computing many years, which arguably would be even worse for humanity than higher consumer electronic prices as that is the backbone for a lot of scientific research.
