The family does not have millions. Whatever Riley has is what she has earned. Lisa Marie sold and took out loans in the tens of millions of dollars against what little they had left. I wouldn’t have been surprised if they did default on the property. Sounds like they didn’t, but I wouldn’t have been surprised.
They sold to CKX, which also bought Muhammad Ali and American Idol (19th Entertainment) back in the early or mid 2000s. That was the majority rights to Elvis’ name and likeness (but kept the house), for something like $135-200m, it’s been a while so I forget. They burned through that money within a decade and were in debt for tens of millions by the 2010s.
Edit: did some double checking to just verify what I had remembered. Apparently Lisa Marie had $35m in life insurance. So Riley has that and I was wrong on that part. But nothing was left from the estate.
