CBDC's can exist without putting the rest of crypto under centralized control. What is pro-crypto is that its a base layer of infrastructure that will be scaled and provides access to these payment systems for crypto startups. It will make it easier to build crypto services. Not having it would slow down innovation because it creates friction between the transfer of value from crypto to fiat or vice versa.
Taking a binary position on it is foolish. We should be taking part in shaping how it is implemented that takes into consideration the concerns.
