"text": "\nI’m holding a bit of both now and I’m thinking BITO (bitcoin futures etf) is almost too good to be true. It gives you a 23% (annualized) dividend payed out each month, AND it seems to follow the price of bitcoin very well. Somebody tell me how this isn’t too good to be true and better than the spot etf.\n\nI held 100 shares of BITO (it’s currently at $26 a share) for one month and got a pay out of $162. If I were to convert more of my bitcoin holdings to it, I could pay my bills with that dividend! That dividend would be killer even just in fiat, but with the gains of bitcoin? Too good.\n\nI take it the catch is that it slips a few percent below the gains of actual bitcoin (and I know, there’s no replacement for cold storage. I have cold storage as well). The fee is almost 1% but again, that’s nothing for a 23% payout. \n\nIf anyone has any resources to better understand how this etf works or can come up with some compelling reasons why not to hold it instead of bitcoin, I’d love to hear. (P.S. I only respond to nice language)",
