I definitely see this happening too. I can see a world where good students use this technology to their advantage and are enabled to learn so much more while weaker ones fall behind even more. First studies do point to this being a potential danger. i think you are underestimating our students though and this may be my perspective as an elementary school teacher speaking. Kids LOVE to learn. They are legit super excited to learn new things. They will tell you "thank you for teaching me something new" with a smile on their face. when they reach 4th grade with us that curiousity has largey been beaten out of them by constant tests and pressure from parents and teachers to perform. Once that spark is gone it is hard to get back. I have notices my students being super engaged using these tools, being super open to work with the feedback it provides (it being so interactive helps). Mabye that is just the novelty of it though, I am definitely not ruling that out.
