I don't disagree. It's certainly beneficial to the network overall to have more home miners, and I encourage anyone who is interested in doing so. But if your goal is to stack as much sats as possible, mining isn't going to get you as far. In terms of opportunity cost, it's very expensive.

Doing the math before I purchased the ASIC, it was clear to me that this would likely be the outcome. That's the main reason I only purchased one.
