honestly I would be terrified of a chemically castrated ex-con out on the streets. since rape is not really about sex but more about power, revenge, etc, I honestly think there are a fair number of rapists out there who would take the whole castration as the fault of the people they assaulted and look for ways to take it out on them. you're essentially got state sanctioned torture and emasculation, you don't think a person already messed up enough to violently sexually assault another person will be able to just move past that?
