Straight off the bat voice is much flakier than on mobile app. By that I mean it only starts up one in three goes without connection issues. And I have gigabit fiber and a very stable connection.

Second, just for my sanity I did same query in both browser and desktop at same time and desktop app is literally around 3 tokens per second. Replies were so much slower and also the UI was bugged. Scrolling caused entire UI to blink uncontrollably. Stopping a conversation is also buggy and very laggy unlike web counterpart.

And I had to delete app twice before it finally stopped giving me invalid action when typing a message. I mean I’m sure it will get better but this is pretty shit upfront performance for a first release given that the damn thing is just a iOS app made to work on desktop.

Copying text is harder, and also command + s is hijacked by the ChatGPT app so if I have vscode open the save keyboard shortcut doesn’t work anymore. I have to shut down the ChatGPT app to get it running again.
