It goes downhill from there too. I was never a big drinker but by 35 two beers meant heartburn overnight, cotton tongue and a hangover. At 42 cannabis was legalized in NJ and I gave it a shot with edibles because I’m not a smoker. Waaaay better. It kicks in, stays smooth at least until I’m in bed. I don’t get angry, I don’t get down. After a depression diagnosis I swore off all alcohol and strictly moved to cannabis. I started vaping after a heavy amount of research and now I add that to my toolkit for dealing with anxiety and depression. I changed my stance on cannabis to support medical well over a decade and a half before that and now can say I wish it had been sooner because I was wrong to look down on some of those people that were getting their card, it absolutely has uses.
