Yea its what I said. they come out on top, artist get a fat check outside of label's 360 deals controlling their masters, consumers get bent over the barrel.

Why would Ticketmaster write PR pieces about their conspiracy covering for artist? this logic seams very sus and counter intuitive, Its far easier to believe Occam's razor that the artist are along for the ride and half of them know it but are powerless to do anything due to how they need to make money touring. Ticketmaster/Livenation gets heat they can say "hey the artist set the prices", the artist get the heat "hey Ticketmaster/Livenation have the venues and set the prices over my cut".
I think its just they have the artist by the balls, the know the music industry is on life support without Touring and they own all the major venues. Don't like it tough luck go kick rocks in a 100 person venue, is how Ticketmaster operates the last 20 years or so as they consolidated and vertically integrated their sales funnels.
Could be worse you could be Bruno Mars who is millions in gambling debt stuck in some Vegas Casino working till he clears his nearly 50M$ gambling debt.
I just find it funny they got away with it for so long until they came under the wrath of swifties.
