A few weeks ago, I'd have said I was dependent on weed. It solves my arm and back pain, helps me sleep, makes me feel less depressed, and gives me energy to make art, which is my job.

Stopped cold turkey a couple weeks ago. It hasn't been difficult. I don't miss it, much. I expected withdrawals, but they didn't show up.

The most negative effect of stopping is that I can't find much artistic motivation, and I have to actually deal with my depression instead of pushing the problem off until later. Saw a doctor. Logic'd my way out of the non-chemical part of my depression.

Quitting hasn't been a big deal, to be honest. I might start again soon, but with more oversight from my partner to make sure I don't go overboard.
