Realistically the holdout at this point is pride. After three generations, it's no easy task to cede something of that magnitude. But I understand the food situation there at the moment isn't particularly great, and there's a mutual understanding on both sides that it would be better if it did happen.

I think Kim just needs to come to the table with an understanding that a reasonable disarmament strategy can yield a lot in exchange.

Quite frankly, it's been too long to maintain the notion that there is a threat of invasion from an external force, so there's not much value in complete isolation.
