What you say about maneuverability isn’t that important as maneuverability and acceleration have become far less important in modern A2A combat. About radio jamming, I was not saying that current radio jamming methods could render remote operated drones useless, but that it would make the development of better radio jamming a priority for every opposing nation.
If you develop a technology that costs far more than its counter, it’s bound to fail. Just like adding more and more armor to a tank si far harder than just making a bigger gun (hence why heavy tanks have gone out of style).
About what you say on placing a control aircraft near the AO, well that’s pretty much already in the works.
The NGAD will do exactly that: the main craft will operate many drones that will be able to engage in the riskier actions.
