Hello everyone,
I have been working full-time as an iOS Developer since 2015. Recently, I came across Solana and became interested in moving into Solana app development.
Currently, I am learning Rust from the official book. While exploring, I found that it is recommended for developers to learn JavaScript/TypeScript, presumably to build clients and interact with the blockchain. However, I am considering using my existing iOS skills to create clients, allowing me to focus more on on-chain development initially.
Would this be a correct approach? Or should I prioritize learning JavaScript/TypeScript from the start? Is it feasible to schedule learning these languages for later and focus on on-chain development first using my iOS knowledge for client-side logic?
Additionally, any general tips regarding learning, finding job opportunities, or any advice that would be helpful for a beginner in Solana development would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to ask any clarification questions.
Thank you!
