My team’s role is to help out other people doing data science work across our enterprise. I’ve noticed a lot of the more siloed people who exist as islands in their departments (so clearly, like, the target audience for cross-department collaboration) don’t want to collaborate because they seem to be afraid that we’ll notice they don’t know what they’re doing. Which is such a bummer because we’re here to help! Not throw people under the bus. (And dude, we already all know you don’t know what you’re doing.)
