I started using and drinking around 8-9 yrs old and after several decades as a pretty high-functioning addict I cleaned up and spent a few years subsequently working in recovery. In all that time I not only never encountered a single life ruined by weed, but even the die-hard stoners I've known & met suffered no real negative consequences.
You can list all of the possible effects you want (or just stick to contrary insults if you please) but I've never seen it happen. Certainly no overdoses or real health issues. Are they a little slow on the uptake occasionally? Sure. But this is probably the worst symptom I've witnessed. And as I said, I spent a lot of time around a lot of drug use.
So sorry, but if you're looking for the down-side to weed you're just reaching. Far as I can tell it just makes most people quite happy & chill (I wouldn't know personally, I hate the stuff)
And that it should be outlawed anywhere that alcohol is sold is all the proof one could need of how arbitrary and selective our judgement is on these matters.
