I think we are already at a spot where a well fed LLM can outperform most doctors. However, there are several legal and ethical concerns when we're talking about putting the health of a human being at the "hands" of an AI. To give you an example, when I first made this post it outright gave wrong diagnoses left and right, that's merely a year ago. Nowadays, when testing GPT 4o feeding it medical imaging data (EKGs, xrays and so on) I found a pretty much 99% accuracy on the diagnosis. Unfortunatelly, in the last days it has been severely limited and it got "neutered". Still a taste of the times to come. It is an amazing tool for health care.
