I'm talking about BTC specifically, which has some technical challenges that ETH and stablecoins have partially mitigated.

One of the core characteristics of currency is acceptability. A currency is only as viable as its acceptability. I would be unable to make neccessary daily transactions in the US or India using only BTC - and on that basis I claim that it does not meet its primary purpose. This doesn't mean that nobody makes any transactions with BTC or that I couldn't make some transactions with BTC. I am claiming that effectively nobody uses BTC for all their daily transactions... because it isnt viable.

This doesn't mean it might not become viable in the future. I have more faith in other crypto myself but who knows. To your point, BTC transaction growth is increasing rapidly.

> What does your personal experiences have to do with anything?

The use of currency is a pervasive experience. To the extent that BTC is pervasive, which is your claim, a small sample size should be representative of the population.
