I’ve been reflecting on [Ethereum’s price journey](https://www.youtube.com/shorts/3jT9MPxv1Do) over the years and wanted to get your thoughts. Ethereum, since its launch in 2015, has had quite the roller-coaster ride: Remember the early days back in 2015 when Ethereum started at just a few dollars? By early 2016, it was around $10, and then skyrocketed to $400+ during the 2017 crypto boom. Early adopters saw massive gains. Back then I already became a huge fan of eth. Like most cryptos, ETH wasn’t immune to the 2018 crash, dipping below $100. But it demonstrated resilience, slowly recovering and stabilizing around $200-$300 by mid-2019. The rise of DeFi brought new use cases and massive attention to Ethereum. ETH’s price surged past $700 by the end of 2020, driven by increased network usage and hype. 2021 was a landmark year, with ETH hitting an all-time high of over $4,000. The NFT craze and institutional interest played huge roles, although the network’s scalability issues also came to light. The market saw significant volatility, with ETH fluctuating between $1,000 and $3,000. Despite this, the merge in 2022 was a monumental milestone, boosting confidence in its long-term potential. As of now, Ethereum continues to be a dominant force in the crypto space. With the upcoming rollouts of scalability solutions like sharding and ongoing development, there’s optimism about its future price and utility. What do you think about Ethereum’s price history and where it might be headed next? Do you see it breaking new all-time highs, or will scalability and competition be significant hurdles?
