Okay regards, this is going to be a hard one, but bear with me. You may have heard about IBRX a few weeks back. There was some hype around it which quickly faded and it seemed nothing more than just a short-lived pump and dump. Well I’m here to bring the ticker back under inspection to make the case that it’s the perfect long-term multibagger candidate.
ImmunityBio is a biomedical company that focuses on drugs that fight diseases through the patients immune system. Basically, when you have a disease like cancer there are bad cells that are doing damage inside you. Your immune system responds to it by activating good cells to fight the bad cells. What these drugs do is they make this response stronger and thus there is a better chance your body can kill the bad cells.
For bladder cancer the best chance for a long-term cure is bladder removal, but it is obvious that life quality can be quite poor after such a procedure, plus the surgery has risks too. The next best option is immunotherapy with a drug called BCG. The drug works but the response often weakens rapidly with time and some patients don’t even respond to it. Immunotherapy combined with ImmunoBio’s ANKTIVA drug can prolong the effects of BCG notably.
* Complete response rates of 70%. * 67% of patients who were unresponsive to other treatments had a complete response with ANKTIVA + BCG. * Complete responses with an estimated median of 45.4 months. * The adverse effects were comparable with those of BCG-treatment alone.
So in other words this is the current pinnacle of cancer treatment. The company has already gotten an FDA approval for ANKTIVA treatment on bladder cancer and the company has schedule a meeting with FDA next month regarding the approval of ANKTIVA for lung cancer. In this meeting FDA will give us the date by which they will announce their decision. Now considering that ANKTIVA is already in use and FDA approved, there is a big chance they will approve it for lung cancer too.
Here is a comparison of survival with and without ANKTIVA for lung cancer patients. You can find a lot more information on these from [ImmunityBio's web page.](https://immunitybio.com/)

The company has a pipeline already in full use and the drugs sell for 38,000 per dose. The treatment (bladder cancer) lasts from 19 to 37 months with 15 to 24 doses in total. The American Cancer Society estimates there will be 83,190 new cases and 16,840 deaths from bladder cancer in 2024. At the time of diagnosis, about 80% of cases are non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC), that is 66,552 new cases per year. In \~30-40% of patients, however, BCG will fail, and in \~50% that initially respond cancer will recur. So 60-75% would use anktiva which is 40,000 – 50,000 Anktiva users for bladder cancer treatment per year. For lung cancer the number would be approximately 200,000 from 240,000 new cases each year (follows a different formula).
The company has already done the hardest part by getting the first approval for the drug. The company’s market cap is under 5 billion at the current share price of about 6,75$. This company could be worth ten times that, easily. I mean we are possibly talking about the future of cancer treatment here. I’m expecting a rally towards a more realistic share price during this year. The FDA approval for the lung cancer treatment with ANKTIVA might take up to 6 months but that is just one of many projects this company is working on. This immunotherapy thing can be applied to many different diseases. I believe this is the future of medicine right here – enhancing our bodies’ natural capabilities to fight diseases and viruses.
And when it comes to ANKTIVA: ”This drug is completely available now. In fact, it's already been shipped. We have 175,000 doses available with the stability of up to three years.”
Position in the comments: 23x jan/25 calls 8$ strike price.
