I've lost ~15% of my portfolio because of a bad trade.

I've bought Gold and Silver futures on Monday at their peak, the second I buy, they started going down. I tried to bring my cost down by buying more but that didn't work.

Normally I wouldn't do that but I planned buying physical gold and silver last week, and I was going to buy on Saturday but they started rallying on Friday, which is very frustrating because I literally missed out something I predicted, so I wanted to get back with leverage. Because you know, silver's cup and handle, when it breaks 30$, it could fly to 50$, that kind of stuff. Maybe it will maybe it won't, idk. I didn't see much downside risk because money printer go brr.

I have stomach for it, this loss was't traumatising for me, and maybe I thought I want to "experiment" the dark arts and have some excitement in my monotone life.

After all, are we all going to save our paychecks for our monthly contributions to an index fund, just to have enough money to live at the age of 70 and to pay our medical bills? Even if I turn out to be miraculously healthy at my old age, will I enjoy life then? Invest now so you don't die at the streets when you're old strategy is a sad one.

Having said that, I don't think I should buy futures just because for the sake of speculation anymore.

Also I shouldn't try to get back after a missed opportunity. I always read things like that but yeah, I suck.

The other thing is FOMO, it's not obvious at first because of "it's just getting started" narrative. Who the hell knows, maybe it's all priced in.

It's also stupid to lose that much in precious metals so I also feel stupid now.

TLDR I'm stupid
