I've never used Facebook or X, so I'm consistent, not that it really means anything. I've never really understood the point of most social media platforms. I've tried them all and after a week or two I always delete them because even while using them I never understand the point. I just try them out try and understand why so many people use it. Most of it is just controversy, people making meaningless content, or manipulation for exposure. I think those companies manipulating the masses and using their consumer's private data for self enrichment is bad too. However, I do not know of a better way for people to socialize in todays self-isolating media age. So, it may very well be futile to wish for anything better
