Hello guys,
I created the beginnings of an educational videogame about programming and algorithm design for my computer science thesis/capstone while I was in school. Since I've graduated, I started working to pay the bills :(, but I haven't stopped thinking about it ever since.
The game is designed to help players learn and master algorithmic concepts while also preparing them for technical software interviews. If you're curious, [here's my thesis](https://hardcode.ca/thesis.html) on my website HardCode.ca, and a [short video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JkJS5OPCYXA) I used in my presentation. Please check the time stamps to follow along with what's happening in the video (I wish the presentation was recorded because it went very well!). I also made all the music for the game :)
So, as a DOT holder, I've been brainstorming ways to integrate Polkadot into HardCode. There could be parts of the game that teach blockchain development, tutorials and challenges related to Polkadot's blockchain tech, maybe learning about building parachains, smart contracts. Maybe there can also be a governance system where players can vote on future features of HardCode and such. I also, of course, have been thinking of adding an in-game economy using DOT, but I think that would be difficult to balance and would need to be carefully planned.
Although I am a computer scientist, I am not a blockchain developer, so I would need to do more research on how to implement these ideas into HardCode. I'd love to have a conversation with you guys to see what you think, if you like the idea, and if you have ideas on a direction you'd like to see this go :)
Thanks,
Mathew
