No, I'm someone who actually understands what LLMs are capable of and just how much of the current wave of idiocy around them is based on dipshits like Sam Altman breathlessly telling us what they "will be able to do" rather than pointing at anything about them that's actually useful. Basically every big fancy demo (Cf. the stupid "air head" thing with Sora) that gets everyone's nether-regions wet is smoke and mirrors and a load of bullshit on the side - this isn't something you'd expect to see if the technology were actually capable of doing what its proponents say it is.

Even if I believed that "the next version" of ChatGPT would be this incredible world-changing innovation or something, we're at or close to the ceiling on LLM performance absent some sort of actually-world-altering advancement in compute or a pretty seismic shift in the underlying software approach that no longer requires the amount of training data current models do.
