I have. I have also worked in a trauma center as a trauma nurse. There's a huge difference between an accident under 70mph and over 80mph. The difference is life long disability and brain death vs. broken bones everywhere and a tough rehab.

We would all prefer the latter. The speed limits are set up that way for a reason. There is science behind it. When a patient arrives to a trauma bay we get reported the speed of vehicle in the crash so we know what to look for.
