I think Sam's "her" tweet complicates it legally. OpenAI was advertising the product's resemblance to the movie character. Whether that's ultimately a movie studio's problem, or ScarJo's, I think questions like this will need to be figured out in courts for a while.

From ScarJo's perspective, saying nothing *best case* means it fizzles out, but *worst case* means OpenAI continues to advertise a connection as this product explodes, and she starts being known as the voice of AI and a company she doesn't want any part of. It bare minimum has career ramifications that need to be figured out. Actors *just* fought for protections over their likeness through the SAG strikes, but in most other cases fights are going to have to play out in court while the rules get figured out.

I think a lot of people are fixated on the fairness of specific details here, but this *will* have to be figured out in court at some point, and I'd rather a multimillionaire be the face than some nobody who really gets screwed over.
