Just so you understand, we, not Monero people, but people that want to keep our finances to ourselves and solely under our control, are under attack. It is only going to get worse. Monero, currently our best tool for these ends, has a target on it's back.
On this topic, this fight (and make no mistake that's what it is) is not about the law, the rules, the legal precedent, democracy, any of that. It's about power. The rules we thought we were supposed to live by, things like "designing a hammer doesn't make you culpable when someone gets killed with it", do not protect us. In trying to have control over only our own lives we threaten power. The gloves come off, the rules aren't there to protect us, they're there to give legitimacy to that power, they're a veneer.
I've been talking about this for a while, and I still stand by what I've said in the past: projects like these need to be hosted in a way that makes them difficult or impossible yo take offline, and built by people who nobody knows their real name. Those of you with your names attached to these projects, you need to be prepared. We are in the "then they fight you" phase, and this is an existential threat to them.
