I would suggest having a boring old tracker fund. Keep it simple. Trackers follow the money. They're cheap. Set and forget.

Put a bit in and know that you have a nice fall back plan. Watch it grow steadily over your lifetime. My fund now earns more each month than I can save. Its a lovely milestone to be honest. Safe, steady, reliable.

I could use that £500 or so a month it generates to buy crypto if I wanted. I mean, that's pretty cool.

Then have a pool of cash for the crypto. If it works out, fantastic. 1000x a $1000 investment is still 1m!

No need to be greedy.

My pension is also invested in broad funds and generated more than my wife earned last year! She goes out to work long hours as a key worker and my pension earns more for me doing "nothing".
