He’s kinda right, I work in Ai too and a lot of it is not well motivated other than hype and people dreaming about some sci fi story.

But relative to other companies aapl and google both seems positioned fine. Like apple is putting Ai in Siri, that’s not a huge investment compared to their company or their cash on hand, and they’d be stupid to not even try.
