I think it also doesn't help that if someone made/bought a pretty amazing computer in 2008, they haven't had to pay for a new OS in over 15 years but we're provided free support and upgrades that whole time.

If Windows 11 had more lax requirements, we would all be using it today with similar levels of complaints that Windows 10 got when it first came out.
