People don't experience inflation as a month to month phenomenon, and at home food prices have increased a shocking amount over the last few years. That's what we experience when we go for groceries now, not month over month inflation. If you try to talk to people in the real world about 2% inflation in groceries, you are doing nothing but wrecking your credibility with them.  By the way, I'm a Democrat who understands you can't talk people out of how they're experiencing inflation. It's been bad for years, not month over month. I don't blame Biden for much of it (the pandemic as well as our response to it introduced structural changes to the world economy, and lending was too easy for a decade at least), but I'm not surprised that other people do. Without being really focused on economy and world events, it's an easy conclusion to make. And then Biden does boneheaded things like tariffs on foreign automakers while car prices are out of control, and just reinforces the narrative that he's to blame.
