It's probably a fair few percent. But only because I lucked in back in 2015. I have no plan to buy more.

Why do you feel like you need convincing? If you aren't convinced now, what makes you desire to be convinced? It seems a really strange turn of phrase.

Presumably some sort of fear of missing out.

That's like a massive red flag when it comes to investing, surely.

Look, the price goes up. And it goes down. Unfortunately we don't really know what we might sell for until we get to our 60s and we all switch out buys to sells.

Only then will the price be tested. Suddenly you have a community of regular sells all needing to pull $3000 a month or whatever is needed for a fairly basic retirement in the future.

If there are 10m of us doing that, we need buyers putting in $30,000,000,000 every month to keep the price up.

$300+bn a year.

That's a lot of money gen z will have to put aside to keep us living comfortably. Assuming they have any left after paying us their rent.

For perspective, the UKs entire pension bill is like 100bn. Workers are forced to pay for that via taxes and it's a massive political hot potato. No one has to buy our bitcoin.

They might just go, nah. Don't want to.

Diversity is good. My view is to build a solid foundation and then have some fun investments in the side. I'll be comfortable either way.
