I can barely afford food and rent, all major purchases (even minor purchases I could use some new socks and t-shirts but I don't NEED them) like the new dishwasher I need, repair my cracked windshield etc, are completely off the table... I don't see an EV in my future even if it was my number one priority.

If only they would tax me a little harder that way I could get all of that money back...
