I'd argue pointing that out is a bit of a misnomer though. The trend only started switching about a year ago and people typically only get raises once or twice a year at best if they're not job hopping & they aren't in sales or some other volume dependent job. Thus, their raises today might outpace inflation but it doesn't catch up the losses they incurred in 2021 or 2022 during high inflation.
