Maybe, but when you consider the context of having the upside down flag, it becomes a lot less thin. Also consider the fact that Alito never denied the upside flag was about Jan 6 or to show support for insurrectionists. He didn't push back against that at all. He just said it was his wife who hung it, not himself.

I don't think he deserves the benefit of the doubt here. Unless he gives a credible explanation, I'm going to assume this flag was about Jan 6, too.
