I'm using windows 10 I should start by mentioning, so when I launch the Monero GUI Wallet it tells me I need to update and if I click download it says error and or that it failed even if I click download again repeatedly or try restarting the Monero GUI Wallet it still won't update that way so I got to do it manually.

I get to the last part of verification in the tutorial on the official website and I try to check the hashes uses the cmd.exe window thingy to do it I am shown SHA1 and a shorter string of numbers than the SHA256 string of numbers that is almost twice as long is what I'm supposed to verify it with.

I'm hoping someone can tell me what I did wrong and what step I make a mistake at as I've done this before but I always forget how to do it so here we are mean posting here on Reddit to get help from somebody hopefully and thanks to anyone that's taken the time to read this completely.
