You do realize news site exaggerate their headlines right? (Apologies if a scientist does say it in the article, I refuse to pay for articles and could only access the first page by other means). The point of no return is that climate change is now happening no matter what we do, but we're still able to halt to a point where it is not catastrophic like I said before.

It kinda is if prominent scientists like Michael Mann, who is featured in that article, are saying we aren't doomed (*if we keeping doing work to halt climate change). And there many other prominent climate scientists saying the same thing. Zeke Hausfather thinks we'll stop at 2.2°C; which is awful no doubt, but not dooming.

It is a dire situation, but we are not completely fucked. Maybe I'm cautiously optimistic about the future, but I'm not giving up like you seem to be doing.
