So I am currently experimenting with how I can use chatgpt in my classroom. I uploaded a screenshot of a question on navigating maps. The first question asks the students to follow a specific path on the map. They are supposed to move 300m south. The names of the streets are fake and the map is fake. When answering first it started hallucinating street names and actually **mentioned the street that is literally 400m away from where I live**. I obviously do not want to share the name of the street, but it is the name of a not-so famous German actress from the 50s and is nowhere on the map I provided. The street name is really unique and a quick google search did not reveal any other German streets with that name. How did it randomly pull up that name? The map has names of streets from my city but those are pretty generic and every German city has them. I do have a "Schwimmbad" in my vicinity that is next to the street it mentioned so there are some connections. I am logged in with my googleaccount and also linked my drive yesterday to see what it is about. so maybe it is sharing my location with chatgpt and feeding that info into its answers? This is kinda freaky. The chances of this being random are so astronomically slim. The street is literally 400m away from my location. I used a screeshot of the question with snippingtool to paste it to gpt. Do those produce metadata and ChatGPT read the metadata? This cannot be a coincidence. The street only exists in my city. The distance is exactly accurate from where I am typing.

It did not do the "analyze" thing where it pulls up info. I never talked to it about my location in other converations though I guess I could have revealed enough for it to figure out where I am if it is saving our convos.
