This, and another significant factor to consider, is WWDC given the Apple deal (on 10.06). We don’t know the scope of their partnership yet, and chances are it’s quite substantial.

Regarding it being free, I love the concept but hate the current implementation. 10 messages, as far as I remember? Even if it's 20, that’s nothing. It's just to give everyone a little taste and get them to subscribe to a Plus plan, which is fine with me. But I find that 80 messages in the Plus plan are incredibly limiting either, particularly with the new voice mode which will interpret each of your “hmm” as a new request. The conversations will be fantastic but very short for now. At the very least, there could be a Plus+ plan with twice as many messages for like $30, and a lot of us would sign up for it gladly, including myself.

Regarding the rollout, I see where you’re coming from, and it makes sense, but I am probably too fed up with companies like Apple who love the same tactics: they announce a product, and then you need to wait for another 6-12 months until they finish making them after the purchase. Or maybe I am just being childish and want to get access to all of the bells and whistles as soon as possible. It’s like a thirst.
