Were you paying attention during the run-up to the war in Iraq?
Here's a great video from one of my favorite "black-listed" open source intelligence news sources, The Corbett Report:
https://youtu.be/-UDYVmIMVA8?t=2m55s
James and James mention just a few of the well documented cases of mainstream news sources (Like the ones "Prop or Not" supports), blatantly lying in order to further US government agendas.
I don't disagree that there are coordinated Russian propaganda efforts, but the tacit endorsement of major news corporations - who *have* been caught colluding with government and corporate interests - is misleading at best, and counter-propaganda at worst.
Likewise, the category of "useful idiots" under the criteria is a dangerous precedent, because it shuts down legitimate dialogue.
Further, I am suspicious of the motivations of PropOrNot.com targeting "Russian propaganda" when there are documented cases of other governments targeting Americans with propaganda and other PsyOps (I mean, JTRIG anyone?), as well as mainstream US news parroting Chinese propaganda - for instance the recent success of their "smog vacuum".
We should all be critically minded - that includes our assessment of known government sources, and pop-up self-described grassroots orgs like Prop or Not. Just blacklisting people whose content disagrees with the so-called "Western narrative" is not in the spirit of free speech or progressive dialogue.
