The existence of youtube tutorials doesn't make a task difficult, and using local accounts is not a difficult thing to set up *in any way whatsoever*. It's a three step process. At any rate, signing on to a local account isn't something 99% of users will want or need to do, especially since most people who use any form of Windows (not just 11) lose their shit the second their access to OneDrive gets even mildly disrupted. It's a niche topic that most people don't have to worry about. You can pretend Microsoft is victimizing you all you want, but just because it's good common practice to be more aware of your computer's settings and configuration doesn't mean you're being treated like shit. If you were being treated like shit, none of the things people like you whine about would be configurable at all. And yet, they are. Not knowing how to configure them is *no excuse.* Microsoft does plenty of shady shit, which is *why* you should be aware of how to configure and set up your machine, but we're not yet at the point people like you seem to think we are. Learn how to use your computer. Like I said, if you're not the type of person who regularly checks configs and preferences, you're not going to have a better experience on any other OS that's capable of doing anything more advanced than word processing. Do you really think someone who doesn't check their privacy settings every so often is going to know what dependencies are being installed when you install new software on Linux?
