As a self-proclaimed leftist, I'll admit Trump's economy was good. I think giving Trump credit is a bit much but under him U3 was pretty low. To bad Trump (and for this I actually can blame specifically him) he leveraged his continued good times for the future by passing tax cuts at full employment, expanding the deficit, pushing the fed to cut rates so when they needed to during covid they had less maneuverability. And also failed to take COVID seriously because his admin was surrounded by ghouls and yes men.

Oh and PPP not having oversight causing massive amounts of fraud and misappropriation of funds being a factor in what seems to be the K recovery after Covid.
