That’s true, that’s *despicable*, but at the end of the day it doesn’t really change anything. Israel is still OK with killing as many Palestinian civilians as needed - including children - for them to ensure not another *Israeli* civilian is killed.

That’s where I, as an outsider with no personal stake in either side in the conflict, can no longer comfortably call Israel much “better” than Hamas. Note that I’m not saying they’re the same, they’re absolutely not, but if *the end result* is the same, what difference does that really make.

Hamas attacked Israel by killing their civilians and taking them hostage. Israel attacks Hamas in response, and kills *even more* Palestinian civilians in turn, deliberately or not.

At what point do we at the very least demand they try a new tactic? Tens of thousands dead, and that still hasn’t sated Israel’s thirst for revenge. Hostages still being held, and zero reason to release them. And even when this ends, what then? It all goes back to like before? Hamas shoots more rockets, does more terrorist attacks? Because Hamas will be “gone” the same way ISIS is, Israel will “win” the same way the US did in Vietnam. It’s just going to keep dragging on and the people paying for it to do so, with their lives, are innocent people.

I have no problem saying I see no “good” or “righteous” part in this particular conflict anymore, and won’t support either one going forward.
