Majority of scams take control of machines through fishing and remote support. Last year it was estimated that 24 billion dollars was the financial losses.

“And it said a would-be hacker would need to gain physical access to your device, unlock it and sign in before they could access saved screenshots.”

“users can opt out of capturing certain websites, and private browsing on Microsoft's own Edge browser will not be captured.”

So essentially all other browsers than edge will be at a disadvantage in terms of privacy. And if the opt-out is on a website basis and not the actual browser then it just makes every browser useless as you will never opt out of every website you visit. While you may get some sort of script to disable it - most users are clueless and it would just lay on theor machine waiting to get hacked by someone who got admin access. And most users are logged in with admin so once a machine is taken over by teamviewer or alike the users are screwed.
