I guess I don't have any response that it's bad some people have to get by in not that much money, but at the bottom end of the job market, people are clearly choosing it over other options. If you think the existence of some people who don't make great money means a business "doesn't work for them", you'd have to equally indict basically every business in the US - certainly Amazon, fast food, retail, manufacturing, pretty much everything. All you can expect Uber to be is no worse, and it's not. And over the last couple of years the bottom end of the labor market has seen their share rise considerably, which is great! But it *is* the source of the inflation everyone else hates.

I just think we're holding Uber to a different standard because it's one of those businesses that really rubs reddit the wrong way for some reason.
