ARM is definitely the future of efficient computing (and mobile computing by extension), but it already holds most of the phone and tablet market. I do not think ARM will penetrate the AI, gaming, or productivity computing markets because those aren’t particularly in need of efficiency. That only leaves laptops, which has been a constantly changing market. I also think it’s not outside the realm of possibility for Intel to move into the ARM arena, although it’s already a saturated one. I also think intel’s main strength is their silicon manufacturing pipeline. Time will tell, but I don’t shy away from risk in my long bets.
